Product Description
Helical piers, also known as anchors, piles or screw piles, are deep foundation solutions used to secure new or repair existing foundations,a modern improvement to traditional cement footings. Each pier consists of an engineered steel post with screw-like helices. Helical pile is extendable base equipment which is made up of helical engineered metallic plates that are attached to a central steel shaft using a round or rectangular cross-section. The steel plate thickness, diameter, number, and helices operate are determined through the restricted or supported arrangement's minimal design life, the ecological rust, and geotechnical parameters, along with the design fill demands.
The screw piles are provided in modular sections approximately 2m long. The lead section normally has three galvanized steel helices of increasing size welded to the shaft. If further depth is required, 2m follower sections are provided. Galvanized steel pile caps are also available.
Helical piers, also known as helical anchors, piles or screw piles, are deep foundation solutions used to secure new or repair existing foundations. Due to their design and ease to install, they are most commonly used whenever soil conditions prevent standard foundation solutions. Instead of requiring large excavation work, they thread into the ground. Helical piers are round or square, tubular or bar steel shafts with round helix plates welded to them.
Ground screw system is a modern foundation system,using the drilling machine to install which makes it as the most efficient and cost-saving footing solution.
It can be widely applied to different soil conditions.
Ground screw appliation:

urban garden and landscape construction;
flag poles and so on.
Screw anchor advantage:
Save time;
Easily assembled;
Save power;
Save money;
More environmental than Concrete Foundation method
Installation
Screw piles are wound into the ground much like a screw into wood. Screw piles are installed using various earthmoving equipment fitted with rotary hydraulic attachments. Machinery varies from skid-steer loaders to 5 tonne through 80 tonne excavators. Rotary hydraulic powerheads with torque capacities ranging from 5,000 Nm to 500,000 Nm are custom fitted using various boom configurations. Special drive attachments connect the screw pile to the machine. Correct installation techniques are paramount to meet engineered design load and settlement outcomes. Incorrect techniques are likely to result in poor overall pile performance.
The first piece of the helical pile is called the lead; this is the piece that is first rotated into the ground. The lead has multiple helical blades, also referred to as helical bearing plates, that can vary in size, shape, and number. After the lead follows any number of extensions, depending on the required torque or depth. These are simply shafts that are bolted and pinned to the lead and to each other at their ends. The top of the pile is the incorporated into the foundation system via a bracket or other connection method.
Helical Piles are used worldwide to secure residential and commercial buildings, tower foundations, heavy equipment foundations, and many other deep foundation system applications.
The shaft can come in either a circular or a square cross section shape and is typically hollow.

Helical anchor system may be used to reestablish new foundations or restore present ones. Helical foundation anchors are used for lighthouses, roads, railroads, telecommunication, and in a lot of different businesses that need rapid installation or structure near to present constructions. Evidence, maintaining structures, other common places make use of because they are appropriate for compression in addition to tensile loads.
Helical Piers--Description:
The original helical pier was designed as a wooden shaft with an iron helix for use in lighthouse foundations.
Today, helical piers are one of the two most common types of structural piering devices for residential foundation applications in use today. Helical piers are an excellent choice for foundation repair and stabilization when light
structural loads, unstable rock foundations or very deep load bearing stratums are present.
Ground Helical Anchor& Earth Helical Piers--Advantages
.A time-proven, versatile, and technically sound system.
· Lower cost and faster installation than other methods
· Installs quickly with small or handheld equipment.
· Can be installed in limited-access areas or tight access.
· Site cleanliness and minimize damage to landscape.
· Soil load bearing capacity is tested during installation.
· Helical anchors available with single, double and triple helix blades.
What are Helical Anchors?
A helical anchor is a deep foundation solution which is used in situations when standard solutions cannot be applied to your foundation project. Situations where a foundation may be exposed to moisture for a longer period of time or where the soil conditions are not normal for use, in such a situation a deep foundation solution like a Helical anchor is required
Spiral ground pile is a new type of foundation building material, which can partially replace the traditional reinforced concrete pouring construction technology, making the building foundation more flexible and fast. It saves the construction cost of ground leveling, waste soil treatment and excavation, and can be widely used in foundation construction in all walks of life.
1. Structural advantages
The spiral ground pile is driven underground in a revolving way, so the soil is not easy to loosen, and the soil conditions can be well used. According to the blade structure of the screw ground pile, it has good tensile pull-out force and insertion grip.
2. Simple and efficient
As a new type of foundation technology, spiral ground pile has many outstanding advantages, such as convenient construction, short period, little impact from the construction environment, no damage to the local environment, easy migration and recycling.
3. Low cost
Compared with formwork erection, rebar binding and pouring of concrete. Embedded anchor bars, curing, formwork removal, foundation soil backfilling and other procedures, the spiral ground pile only needs to be positioned and driven, and the material and labor costs can be saved.
4. All weather construction
It has little impact on the environment and can be constructed under most climatic conditions, such as rain, snow, freezing and other weather.
What are the benefits of Helical Anchors?
There are various benefits of using a helical anchor. Some of them are as follows:
It is easy to install and remove
It can be installed easily in any weather condition
It reduces carbon footprints
It has minimum vibration
It reduces foundation costs
It does not require excess soil
The installation process is very clean and tidy as there are no spoils left after installation
What would be the cost of Helical Anchors?
There are various factors involved while deciding the cost of helical anchors. Those factors are:
Location
Type of work
Condition of foundation
Depth of pile installation
How To Install Helical Anchors?
Helical anchors are installed before pouring the foundation or the soil foundation has been damaged
Helical anchors are screwed into the soil and depending upon the location they are attached to the pre-existing foundation with brackets or screws. After the helical anchors are installed the foundation is safe and is ready to combat any future damage due to compression and tension.
How many Helical Anchors are required ?
The number of helical anchors that you require depends upon the following factors:
Recommended distance between the piles
The type of structure
What is the purpose of Helical Anchors
The main purpose of a helical anchor is to transfer the structural load to the soil. There are various other applications also like tension, compression, and lateral load where helical anchors are used.

How to use Helical Anchors?
Drive the helical anchors into the soil up to the predetermined load capacity.
Space the helical anchors at predetermined intervals to share the weight of the structure.
For foundation repair works, attach the brackets to the base of the wall so that the weight is transferred to the anchor.
Install to a height below the ground level where they meet the required torque.
